A review of the pitch, networking and collaborations
For BAM!, the first quarter of 2026 was all about exchange, development and forging new connections within the Central German innovation ecosystem. With exciting start-up pitches, an important general meeting and the launch of its collaboration with the Weinberg Campus Technology Park, BAM! set the tone for the coming years in Q1.
Close collaboration with the Weinberg Campus Technology Park
A key event in the first quarter was our visit to the Weinberg Campus Technology Park in Halle. Together with Dr Ulf-Marten Schmieder, Managing Director of the Weinberg Campus Technology Park, we further cemented our partnership as a new supporting member. With a BAM! branch on the campus, we aim to further open the door to Saxony-Anhalt and offer a permanent base for angel investors and aspiring angels based there. The Weinberg Campus brings together numerous fields of innovation in one place: from the bioeconomy, biomedicine and biotechnology, through materials science, to the life sciences, digital business models and IT.
Members' meeting and new Executive Committee
There has also been a lot of activity within the community during Q1. A new executive committee was elected at the general meeting. BAM! is thus setting the course for the network’s future development, new formats and even greater commitment to angel investors, start-ups and partners in Central Germany.
From Pitch to Perspective: Angel Learning Session
Another highlight was the Angel Learning Session ‘From Pitch to Perspective’. Five exciting start-ups presented their business models to our angel investors: Megunto, Fiberflow, JawBuddy UG, Set-Jetting and VEROVACCiNES.
The format demonstrated once again just how valuable pitch events are for both sides. Start-ups gain feedback, visibility and access to experienced investors. Angel investors gain insights into new technologies, markets and business models.
A strong first quarter for BAM!
The BAM! events in Q1 2026 show the direction in which our network is growing: more regional networking, more knowledge transfer and greater visibility for start-ups from Central Germany. Would you like to attend upcoming BAM events and exchange ideas with other angel investors?
