2. Collection and storage of personal data and the nature and purpose of its use
a) Visiting our website; web hosting
When you access our website, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to our website’s server. The following information is temporarily stored in a log file:
- IP address of the requesting device
- Date and time of access
- Name and URL of the file accessed
- Website from which the request was made (referrer URL)
- Request method
- Browser used and, where applicable, your device’s operating system
This data is processed for the following purposes:
- Ensuring that a smooth connection to the website can be established
- Ensuring convenient use of our website
- Evaluating system security and stability

The legal basis for the processing is Article 6(1), sentence 1, point (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest arises from the purposes for data collection listed above. Under no circumstances do we use the data collected to draw conclusions about you as an individual.

We use IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, as a processor to host our website. This processing is carried out in accordance with Article 6(1), sentence 1, point (f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate economic interest in making our services available through this website. A corresponding data processing agreement has been concluded.
Log files are stored for security reasons, for example to investigate misuse or fraud, and are deleted after no more than 14 days.
b) Use of our contact forms and other communication with BAM!
Providing personal data is necessary for us to process your enquiry. Without this data, we may be unable to respond to your enquiry.

We use and store the personal data you provide to contact you and respond to your questions and messages.
Personal data obtained from enquiries and other communications is deleted as soon as the relevant purpose of the processing no longer applies, but no later than upon expiry of the applicable statutory retention periods.
The processing is based on Article 6(1), sentence 1, point (f) GDPR and, where the communication concerns steps prior to entering into a contractual relationship, Article 6(1), sentence 1, point (b) GDPR.
You are free to decide to what extent you use our website, enter your data or otherwise contact us and provide personal data.

This applies in particular where:

- Disclosure is necessary for the performance of a contract in accordance with Article 6(1), point (b) GDPR

Data is disclosed in particular to technical service providers, such as hosting providers and membership management software providers, that process data on our behalf.
4. Cookies and web services
We use a consent tool on our website that only places essential cookies to store your cookie preferences. These cookies are required to ensure the website’s basic functionality and compliance with data protection requirements, such as managing cookie consent through the “Moove GDPR” tool.
We currently do not process data for analytics, tracking or marketing purposes.
The legal basis for the use of technically essential cookies is Article 6(1), sentence 1, point (f) GDPR in conjunction with Section 25(2), no. 2 TTDSG.
5. Membership management (easyVerein)
This service is used exclusively for members and individuals who are in contact with us in connection with a membership.
We use the “easyVerein” service to manage our members and organize association-related processes.

Personal data, such as names, contact details, membership status and payment information, is processed as part of our membership administration.
The processing is based on Article 6(1), sentence 1, point (b) GDPR (contract or membership) and Article 6(1), sentence 1, point (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in efficiently organizing the association).
A data processing agreement in accordance with Article 28 GDPR has been concluded with the provider.

a) Members’ login area
Members of our association can log in to a protected area of our website.
Login takes place through our website using the data processed as part of our membership administration.
In particular, the following data is processed when the login area is used:
- Username/email address
- Password, where applicable (stored in encrypted form)
- Times of access
The data is processed to provide and enable the use of the protected members’ area.
Membership data is stored for the duration of the membership and deleted once the membership ends, unless statutory retention obligations, such as tax-related or association-related requirements, prevent its deletion.
The legal basis is Article 6(1), sentence 1, point (b) GDPR (administration of the membership) and Article 6(1), sentence 1, point (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing a secure and functional login area).

The following applies to all links on our website that lead to websites or services operated by other providers, including external links and external web services: We have no influence over the content of these websites or whether their operators comply with applicable data protection requirements. We maintain profiles on social media platforms. These profiles are used to provide information about our activities and communicate with interested parties.

- Subject to the requirements of Article 7(3) GDPR, to withdraw consent you have previously given to us at any time. As a result, we will no longer be permitted to continue the data processing based on that consent in the future
